I am just back from an exploration of the remote island of Saint Helena, a remote British territory in the south Atlantic. My mission to explore & document the island from underwater, from on the water, by foot, air and over land. Commissioned by several adventure magazines in print and online and supported by the Saint Helena tourist board.
"...Leaving the plane and looking around me, I’m initially getting notes of Iceland from the landscape; arid, mountainous and with a partially grey sky only occasionally revealing green peaks in the distance. The climate feels something like the Caribbean, warm and exceptionally humid but windy and the ocean appearing a richer blue than I have seen anywhere else in the world. Local people have come to watch the plane landing - it’s a popular pastime here..."
